Cartel Land

Image
Cartel land was definitely an action-packed documentary that had me on the edge of my seat multiple times throughout the story. But there were definitely some scenes that hit me harder than others. The scene that got to me the most would be when the defense group gets inside a cartel building and take two well-known cartel members. The scene was full of intense shootouts and people yelling and screaming which added to how extreme this moment was. In the story, there was some build-up to this event, which made it much more impactful. Where they interviewed a woman that was kidnapped and had to witness her husband and several other men be tortured and killed in absolutely horrendous ways. But the woman was let go because her punishment was witnessing what had happened. After the interview, you are left wondering who would do such an act of violence and asking yourself if those kinds of people are just normal. After the defense group invades the building, they find two cartel members...

Kman

I think that Kman is my favorite dining option on campus. There are a lot of good things that I can say about Kman. But the main things I like about Kman first is the fact that once I swipe in I am able to get as much food as I want while I am there. And especially when the food is typically pretty good it makes it easy to go up and get seconds. And the second thing I like about Kman the most is the variety, there is always something that I will eat there whether it is the main option, sandwich, salad, pasta, or pizza there is always something for me to eat. This is way too early. Most of the students that go to north central are also athletes and for a lot of teams, some of their practices including mine Kman is always closed when I get back. And if I get typically they have put away the majority...

Microtheme

Throughout my writing career, I have always been taught to talk about a conflict, explain it, and solve the problem. I think that everyone is taught to write like that. Even if you do not particularly like writing we always have the urge to solve the problem. But with a Micro theme, you do not want to actually solve the problem, that is not what a micro theme is. When I was first writing my micro theme I was not sure what my topic should be but I knew that if I wrote about something that truly has an effect on me it would be so much easier for me. So I choose the thing that has affected me the most throughout my academic career, procrastination. And this made the paper so much easier than if I had chosen a different topic.  Overall I actually enjoyed writing my micro theme. And in the end, it actually helped me. It definitely changed the way I look at procrastination in myself in a good way. And now that I wrote that paper I have been able to identify the actual reasons why I...
